Carpool Formation

A carpool is the easiest ridesharing arrangement, with two or more people sharing a ride in one vehicle. 511NY Rideshare helps employers by educating employees on carpools, identifying potential carpool groups, offering route planning and other assistance to carpool groups and finding new and replacement riders when necessary.

Vanpool Formation

In a vanpool, people share a ride in a 7- or 15-person van. 511NY Rideshare assists employers in forming vanpools, facilitating van delivery and providing driver and rider orientation. Shuttle Formation

Shuttle vans are leased from a third-party vendor and monthly rates are based on mileage. 511NY Rideshare also works with public transit providers to modify existing service whenever possible to benefit participating employers.
